James "Jim" Brehmer

James "Jim" Dean Brehmer, 67, of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away on September 21, 2026. Originally from Oshkosh, he made his home in Appleton, where he built a life centered on family and simple pleasures.

A man of few words, Jim shared 48 years of marriage with the love of his life, Karrie, and treasured time with his three children: Nikki (Andy) DeGroot, David Brehmer, and Dallas Brehmer. He especially loved his nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jim touched so many lives, and everyone who knew him loved him. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and collecting, and he was a loyal Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan. "Go Pack Go!"

He will be remembered for his quiet strength, love of family, loyalty to his favorite teams, and enjoyment of life’s simple moments. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He really was “the gratis Papa.”

A Celebration of Life for Jim will be determined at a later date.
