Jackie passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 12, 2024 with her four girls by her side. She was born on July 15, 1932 to John Sr. and Sylvia Ziehms whom preceded her in death.
Jackie loved her family deeply and single handedly raised her four daughters. Working tirelessly to be sure they had a warm loving home. Jackie's Catholic faith was unwavering. She was a member of St. Matthew Parish in Allouez. Over the years she volunteered her time teaching religious education and brought to life the annual booyah and plant silent auction for the church picnic. She served as a Sacramental and Eucharistic Minister up until she fell ill.
Jackie had quite the green thumb and was a Master Gardener. She, along with her daughter, Debbie were among the first volunteers who brought the Green Bay Botanical Garden’s vision to life.
Jackie was the head chef at the Mariner Supper Club for over 40 years and ended her long career working part-time at Cheffetta’s until she retired.
Jackie leaves behind her four daughters and their children, Kim Benton; Chrisie (Jason) Schmitz and Karen (Jason) Novotny, Debbie August; Aaron (Nay) August, Mary Lindeman; Kristin (Brandon) Meves, Kaylyn (Alex) Herzog and Lori McElrone; Doug (Kayla) McElrone; Erik (Lauren) McElrone, Casie (Dustin) Posvic along with 14 great and 3 great-great grandchildren. Her sister Sally Calaway and many nieces and nephews who she cared for and loved like they were her own.
