He was born on November 26 1931, to Oscar Charles Kuehn and Frances (Rasmussen) Kuehn and spent his childhood growing up in Sheboygan, WI. He was an excellent student, serving as Class President, and spent time after school working at Prange’s Department Store. It was at Sheboygan Central High School, where he met the love of his life, Nancy. They would marry on November 21, 1953, sharing over 68 years together, until her passing in 2022.

Outside of work, Charlie was active in community, particularly with the Green Bay Jaycees, and other community organizations.
He was proud to have been an advance man in Wisconsin for President Richard Nixon, and in January of 1969, Charlie and Nancy joined Pat and Dick in Washington DC for the presidential inauguration.
Charlie later opened his own private law practice in Downtown Green Bay, which he operated until being elected to the Brown County Circuit Court. He then forth became known to everyone as “Judge Kuehn” for the rest of his life.
Continuing his career of public service, and leaning on his legal experience, he served many years as Chairman of Wisconsin State Parole Board after being appointed by Gov Tommy Thompson.
Charlie and Nancy were fortunate to have a long retirement and divided their time between their cottage at Sunset Shores in Dyckesville, and their trailer in Lutz, FL where they enjoyed sharing time with their family and many friends.
He is survived by his four children: Charles Jr, Kevin (Rebecca), Kristin (Bryan) Nutter, and William, along with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family members and friends.
Ninety four years is a great run, and the family extends their sincere gratitude to the patient and friendly staff at The Courtyard at Bellevue Memory Care and AseraCare Hospice Care, who cared for Charlie and guided him through his final year.
