Holley G. Traeger (nee McCorkle)
Passed away unexpectedly from cancer on Saturday, October 15th, 2022 at age 69.
Holley was born on June 9th, 1953. Daughter of James and Helen McCorkle. She grew up in Pembine, Wisconsin. James and Helen moved the family for about two years to Meiners Oaks, CA before returning to Pembine. Holley graduated from Pembine High School in 1971. She was employed at Packerland Packing in Green Bay. Holley married Michael Traeger in 1980 and with the birth of her first son Ben, she became a stay at home mom.
Holley's favorite things were traveling to Oklahoma City with her family and visiting Alaska and California. Holley enjoyed planning family events like birthdays and Christmas. She enjoyed going up north with her family for Thanksgiving at her parents' house. Holley looked forward to attending local county fairs and breakfast at some of her favorite places. Not only did she do a wonderful job raising her family, but also a variety of pets: cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, and hamsters.
Holley is survived by her husband, Michael; their four children, Benjamin, Tyler, Melissa, and Clinton; two grandchildren, Isabella and Madison; and two brothers, Brian and Sean McCorkle. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Holley was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen, and her sister, Sharon Gibson.
A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, November 5th, 2022 from 4 – 6 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (340 S. Monroe Ave. Green Bay, WI) with a service to follow at 6 pm.
