Harold J. Bergman

Harold J. Bergman, age 87, of Green Bay, WI formerly of De Pere, WI and Rhinelander, WI., passed away March 5, 2023 with his family at his bedside. He was born September 10, 1935 in Waukegan, IL, the son of the late Harold W. and Jean (Jennie) Bergman. Harold is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Nancy (Roou). He is survived by his two children and their spouses: Lori Sherman (Mark) of Boxborough and Eastham, MA, and Randy Bergman (Andrea) of Hickory, NC, as well as five grandchildren, Mark Sherman, Dan Sherman (Julie), Stephen Sherman, Jennifer Bergman, and Grant Bergman (Bre) and five great grandchildren, Kaylin, Emma, Cora, Blake Sherman, and Deacon Bergman.

Harold graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and was an enthusiastic Badger fan. He served in the Army before starting his 45 year career within the paper industry. He was CEO of Riverside Paper in Appleton, WI. Harold was very active in the Green Bay business community sitting on several company boards. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fly fisherman, spending time out west fishing with his friends. Harold and Nancy enjoyed traveling with their many close friends on several trips to Europe and within the United States. They spent many wonderful hours on the Fox River boating during their 38 years in De Pere.

Harold's wish was for a private family service. The family would like to thank Bellin Hospital and the staff for the great care they provided Harold. Harold will be very missed by his family and his many friends.
