Harold Junior Bartel

Harold Bartel, age 92, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 22, 2025. He was born on February 8, 1933 to Harold and Amanda Bartel in Fremont, Wisconsin.

Harold attended Weyauwega High School and joined the US Coast Guard. He married Virginia Jensen in 1952 and they were stationed in Tacoma, Washington. During their 33 years of marriage, Harold and Virginia were blessed with 2 daughters that they raised in Fremont, Wisconsin. He enjoyed his business, Bartel's Mobile on the Wolf River. His other job was raising and lowering the famous drawbridge.

Harold had a passion for outdoor activities, enjoying hunting, fishing, and trap shooting, particularly with his daughter, Gina. After the passing of Virginia, Harold met Pat DeMuth, and they married, cherishing their 27 years together in Green Bay. They enjoyed camping in Land O' Lakes and shared many memorable experiences at local casinos. Harold was also a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and loved attending the games.

Harold is survived by his 2 daughters, Laurie Prahl and Gina (Dave) Trzebiatowski; his step-son, Paul (Kristine) Luebke; his step-daughter, Julie DeMuth; his grandchildren: Jason (Nikki) Prahl and their children, Ava and Brennen, Jeremy (Becca) Prahl and their children, Isabelle and Nolan, Brandon (Heidi) Trzebiatowski and their children, Anderson and Margaret, Allison Luebke and Lyndsey (Noah) Luebke.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia; 2 children, Kerry and Scott; his second wife, Patricia Bartel, his step-son, Richard DeMuth Jr., and his son-in-law, Michael Prahl.

Visitation will be held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church (120 S. Henry St., Green Bay, WI), Monday, July 28, 2025 from 11 AM to 12 NOON. A funeral service will follow at 12 NOON with Pastor David Hatch officiating. Full military honors to follow.

Harold was a proud member of the AA for more than 35 years, and his family would like to extend a special thank you to the friends he made during that time.
