Guadalupe "Wally" A. Polanco

Guadalupe "Wally" A. Polanco, 71, of Shiocton, passed away on July 27, 2024.

He was born on January 24, 1953 to Margarito and Aniceta (Ozuna) Polanco in New London. He had a love for the outdoors, fishing, spending time with his family and building projects. He was known to be a loving man and always showed up for anyone. If someone needed help moving, he'd be there. He was a great mentor and you could go to him for advice on anything like cooking, grilling, instructions on how to build a deck and so on. He enjoyed his time outside grilling and even mowed family members lawns to keep himself busy. He truly was a wonderful person and will be missed. 

Guadalupe is survived by his sister, Isabel Mata; brother-in-law, Jose Elias Garza; sister-in-laws, Maria Isabel Polanco and Guadalupe Polanco; several nephews and nieces that viewed him as a secondary dad; and many great-nephews and nieces - and to name a few that were close to him: Andrew D. Balderas, Guadalupe O. Balderas and Aniceta L. Torres.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margarito and Aniceta Polanco; five brothers and five sisters.
