Gregory E. Smith

Gregory Edward Smith, 68, Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed peacefully on April 30th, 2023, with his wife Linda by his side. Greg battled Lymphoma for 12 years. He was a fighter and gave it his all. We had 48 years of deepest love, happiest marriage, and truest partnership that I could imagine…he gave me the experience of being truly understood, truly supported and completely and utterly loved – and I will carry that with me always. He will be missed by family and many friends. He was a good man. Farewell my love.

He is survived by his sisters Marcia (David) Furnas, Jamie (Mark) Padilla and brother Peyton Smith; in-laws Eunice Jaklin, Cindy (Rodney) Kaster, Dan Jaklin (special friend Cathy Lindeman), Jody Ellis, Tom (Becky) Jaklin, Robert (Kim) Jaklin, Tim (Theresa) Jaklin and Nancy Freshour along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by our son Joshua; his parents Richard and Bette Smith; brother Bradley; father-in-law Eldon Jaklin; and sister-in-law Jean Jaklin.

A sincere thank you to my sister Cindy for her many trips to Milwaukee to be by my side. There will be no public service.
