Gerald "Jerry" Thomas Horcher, 60, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of his spouse and family on October 9, 2025. He was born on December 13, 1964 to Joseph and Louise (Rickard) Horcher in Chicago, IL.
Jerry graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1983. After graduating, Jerry continued his education at Washburn Trade School and graduated in 1987 as a Journeyman Carpenter and was employed at Horcher Brothers Construction. Jerry started his own company, GTH Construction. He then went to work as a fitter and an electrician at Bay Ship in Sturgeon Bay, World Tradesman and was a foreman at B&B Electric, Marinette Marine - IBEW 158.
Jerry moved from Chicago to Green Bay with the love of his life, Melody, in 1994. On December 15, 1999, they moved into their new home that Jerry built in Bellevue. On April 28, 2007, he married Melody (Pamonicutt) Horcher. Together, they shared 18 years of marriage and raised three children: Jacob, Ashley, and Molly.
Jerry was known for being an extremely dedicated and hardworking man. He had unbounded dedication to his family and friends, and there is nothing he wouldn't do for them; his generosity and compassion had no limits. Jerry loved spending time with his grandchildren, he was involved in their lives and loved it. He was a great cook, and the entire family looked forward to his cookouts. Jerry had a passion for airplanes and flying, he was proud to have completed his private pilot license in 2018.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Melody; his children: Jacob, Ashley, and Molly; 9 grandchildren; their dog, Rascal; his siblings: Donna Horcher, Charles (Caroline) Horcher, Deborah (the late John) Shramovich, and Doris (Michael) Castagno; Jerry is further survived by many Horcher and Rickard relations who live around the country.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may gather for Visitation on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301). A Funeral Ceremony will follow immediately at 2:00 pm.
