George Madl, 100, of Sturgeon Bay, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 28, 2026.
He was born on July 30, 1925 to John and Anna (Stample) Madl in Grand Haven, Michigan. George was self-employed as a blueberry farmer. He moved to the Green Bay area with his son later in life.
George enjoyed fishing, especially for bluegills. He also loved hunting and playing cards. His favorite to play being pinochle and euchre. He played and had good friends at the Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay ADRC, where he still would win even with being 100.
George was a man of faith and became a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. A Celebration of his life will be held at the church he was a member of, Word from the Barn Fellowship, 4229 Reforestation Rd, Suamico, WI by the NEW Zoo, on Saturday, September 12, 2026. A time for friends and family to visit will begin at 9 AM until 10:30 AM, with the memorial service following at 10:30 AM at the church. The family asks to RSVP a text message to 920-494-1064 if you plan to come by September 10.
George is survived by his sons, George (Dawn) Madl and Greg Madl; daughter, Judy (Ray) Tejchma; an honorary daughter, Leann Leonardson; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Madl; his parents; and his brothers, John and Antone.
