Gay Nell Hancock, 84, of De Pere, passed away on November 10, 2025 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on March 20, 1941 to Wilson and Mozella (Sluss) Brickey in Fort Blackmore, Virginia. Gay worked as a claims adjuster for Metropolitan Life. On June 27, 1988 , she married Whidden Hancock. The two spent 37 wonderful years together. Her entire life was her family, she loved spending time with them and making memories together.

Gay is survived by her loving husband, Whidden; daughter, Mia (Jerry) Clearwater; step-son, Mark Hancock; grandchildren: Justin (Tabitha) Wheeler, Amber Horton, and Sara Cote; great-grandchildren: Nathan, Haley, Levi, Marco, Katie, Ciara and Raven; nieces, Renee and Lisa; and nephew, Terry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her three sisters: Shirley, Faye and Joanne.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1542 Webster Ave, Green Bay, Wisconsin 54301. A time for visiting with the family will be held prior from 9 AM until 10 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home - Green Bay, 340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay, Wisconsin 54301.
