Gary D. Strege, 72, of Green Bay, beloved husband of the late Terry (Mielke) Strege, departed this life on December 25, 2021 at Bellin Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Gary was born on June 11, 1949 in Oconto, son of the late Melvin and Alma (Pillsbury) Strege. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps serving as a Lance Corporal until his honorable discharge. He retired after 25 years of service at Fort Howard Paper.
He is survived by his two children: Donna (Larry) Buckwheat, and Christopher (Brandi) Strege. He also leaves three grandchildren: Amanda Strege, Tyler Strege, and Kaden Strege in addition a brother, Brent (Jay) Strege, and a sister, Diane (Gerard) Trinkner. He is also survived by his nephews, extended family and friends. Gary is preceded in death a brother, Wayne Strege, and his Father and Mother-in-law, Kenneth and Beatrice Mielke.
At Gary's request a private service was held. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
