Gary Lee Bitters, 83, of Green Bay, passed away on September 2, 2025. He was born on August 15, 1942 to Burton and Mabel (Carriveau) Bitters in Green Bay, WI. He graduated from West High School in 1961. He went right into the family business with his dad at Bitters Trucking. He then worked at DA Lubricant and finished his career in truck sales.

Gary married the love of his life, Mary, on May 25, 1985 and together they shared 30 loving years of marriage. He loved spending time with family and would always bring his famous baked beans. Gary was an avid skier and received many gold medals (because of his age bracket) on Nastar runs. He spent many years enjoying fishing, Rose Lake being one of his favorites. He also liked hunting, one of his prized possessions was a duck he kept above his fireplace. Gary was a major history buff; you could ask him about any place in town and he would tell you every detail. He often listened to bands and would travel the state for a good supper club, with friends. Packers were his passion and he owned season tickets (in the correct endzone) for decades. He loved cribbage and poker. He enjoyed his Miller Lite with friends at TNT, Gilligan's and was a member of the Moose Lodge. Jackson, his Westie, will miss him dearly.

Gary is survived by his loving children, Kelly (Mark) Kubichek, Sherri Bitters, and Angie (Matt) May; four grandchildren, Keely Kubichek, Camren Kubichek, Nathan May and Nicholas May. He is further survived by his siblings, Doug (Linda) Bitters and Jacky (Dave) Cartwright; and brother-in-law, Kevin Knudson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, parents, and two siblings, Pat Bushmaker and Michele Knudson.

A Celebration of Gary's life will be held September 13, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at his daughter, Kelly's home (2556 East Crais Court DePere, WI)

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Vincent Hospital and Unity Hospice.

Rest in peace, Dad. You will be truly missed.
