Frank O. Kraft, age 87, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Monday September 5, 2022 at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center. Holding his hand when he took his last breath was his wife, Judy of 49 years, along with his children, Tim (Nicole) Kraft and Karin (Rob) Moore, in addition his faithful friend, Mark Griese was by his side.

Frank was born on May 20, 1935 to Edward and Genevieve (Briquelet) Kraft in Green Bay. Following graduation from Est High Frank enrolled in the Army and served in Germany. It is there he met and married his first wife, Rita K. Kreutzer, the mother of his children. In 1961, Frank joined the Green Bay Police Department serving as an officer, detective and retired as the Crime Prevention Director. Frank wrote a federal grant to start Crimestoppers, an accomplishment that resulted in his being named 1989 Officer of the Year by the Wisconsin Crime Officers Association. He attended the National Crime Institute at the University of Kentucky, along with extensive training at Fox Valley Technical College. Frank was united in marriage in 1973 to Judith Danielson, they enjoyed 27 years vacationing and fishing at their cottage in Leech Lake Minnesota, the last 18 years were spent enjoying their lake home on Post Lake, Wisconsin.

Frank is survived by his wife, Judy, son, Tim (Nicole) Kraft, daughter, Karin (Rob) Moore, grandchildren: Jessica (Craig) Tlusty, Ryan and Matthew Moore, along with a great-granddaughter, Lydia Tlusty and a great-grandson, Benjamin Moore; he is further survived by his dear friend, Mark Griese, Brothers-in-law: Tom (Chris) Danielson, Jim (Joy) Danielson, Steve (Bernie) Danielson, Mike (Phyllis) Danielson, sister-in-law: Patty (Don) Rosendahl, and nieces: Linda (Denny) Mohr, Diane (John) Gillis, Julie (Jeff) Gorall, Lisa (Pat) Hoagland, Debbie (Marty) Karnopp, and Teresa (Tom) Adams. He is also survived by his many beloved pets. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Lucille (Robert) Christiansen, Geraldine (Harvey) Adlebush, nieces: Donna Lemense and Laurel Sivilotti.

Friends and family may visit at Newcomer Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Ave on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 1:30 pm until the time of service at 4:30 pm, with Father Ben Johnson officiating.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Leah Nitke, and his other doctors at Aurora, along with the ICU nurses and staff for all their care, comfort, and support that was given to the family.
