Floryan Joseph Kobylarczyk, 82, of Sobieski, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on March 28, 2026.
He was born on April 4, 1943, to John and Laverne (Kozak) Kobylarczyk on the family farm in Sobieski, Wisconsin. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1961. He was in the United States Air Force from the years 1961 until 1965. He was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, where he met the love of his life, Kathryn Craft.
The two got married on November 27, 1965, and recently celebrated their 60th anniversary. He was a lifelong member of St Maximilian Kolbe Parish Church in Sobieski, Wisconsin. He retired from Fort Howard Paper Mill in 1998 after working 29 years there. He went on to work for the town of Little Suamico for the next 20 years.
Floryan enjoyed gardening, canning, wine making, camping, booyah making, hunting and fishing at the cabin. He also loved watching the Green Bay Packers and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn; his three sons: Joseph (Alecia), Wesley (Kelly) and Jason (Shannon); grandchildren: Morgan, Will (Savannah), Austin, Hunter, Jillian, James (Brittany) Dobry and their family, Laura (Jeff) Steichen and their family, Wyatt Kirby, Kylee, Jaykob and Jackson; sister, Virginia (Al) Arendt; sisters-in-law, Marie Kobylarczyk and Hope (Ray) Hrabik; brother-in-law, Terry (Cherri) Craft; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; sister, Theresa Comstock; and his in-laws, Howard and Sybil Craft.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 11 AM at St Maximilian Kolbe Parish Church, 6051 Noble St, Sobieski, WI 54171. A time for friends and family to pay respects and visit will begin at 9 AM until the time of mass at the church. Burial will follow the service at the church cemetery with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Chapter 45 Oconto/Marinette of Wisconsin in Floryan's memory.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the first floor nurses at Bellin Hospital, Bellin Valet, the staff at Aurora Hospice and family and friends for all the prayers.
