Ethel Mary Warden, 91, of Oconto, passed away on January 1, 2026. She was born on September 12, 1934 to Albert and Martha (Kreowicz) Warden in Denmark, WI.

Ethel was family oriented and found great joy in family gatherings of birthdays and holidays. Ethel was strong in her Catholic faith and attended church whenever possible, or would watch Mass on TV. She enjoyed canning and knitting and was proud of her Polish heritage. She looked forward to the Pulaski Polka Days every year.

She was married to A. John Piontek on August 20, 1955. They were blessed with six children: Jean (the late Mike) Lardinois, Steve (Venera) Piontek, Debbie (Mike) Walkowiak, Elizabeth (Mark) Bethke, Francis Piontek, and Judy (Mark) Dezoma. She is survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, David and her sister, Alice.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and one sister, two grandsons, and her former husband, Paul Jaworski.

Family and friends will have the opportunity to visit on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301) from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A Funeral Service will follow immediately at 11:30 AM. Ethel will be laid to rest in Assumption BVM Cemetery in Pulaski.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Care Partners Assisted Living of Oconto and Compassus Hospice for their generous care and support. A Special Thanks for Newcomer for assisting the family.
