Eric Lee Schoenebeck, 55, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024. He was born on June 13, 1969 to Erwin and Harriet (Bundy) Schoenebeck.
Eric was a proud veteran, he served in the Coast Guard as a Damage Controlman and received various medals and ribbons including: multiple marksman medals, Good Conduct Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal with One Bronze Star and the Artic Service medal. He was most proud of his service in Kodiak, Alaska.
Eric worked as a maintenance mechanic at Georgia Pacific and at Neenah Foundry. This is where he met his special friends, Jeff and Barbie Bohl and Jayne Lepak.
Eric had a passion for sports, especially hockey and baseball. He was a season ticket holder for the Green Bay Rockers and the Green Bay Gamblers. He was known for his extensive sports trivia knowledge, and had a large collection of sports memorabilia and bobble-heads.
Eric had a heart of gold and loved to help people. He spent many hours each summer searching for coats for children and teens, to which he donated to Coats for Kids.
Eric is survived by his loving parents, Erwin and Harriet; his sister, Beth Earley, and his uncle, Paul Krueger.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Mark, his grandparents, Robert and Hazel Krueger and Frieda Schoenebeck. He was reunited in Heaven with his beloved pets, Bella, Yogi (Baby) and Zena.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Bethany Methodist Church (1110 Echo Ln, Green Bay, WI 54304). A memorial service will follow immediately at 12:00pm.
Memorials are suggested to the Shawano Humane Society in honor of Eric.
