After a brief battle with cancer, Edward “Lee” Foster passed away peacefully in the afternoon of August 1, 2025.
A hard-working family man whose talents and seemingly boundless abilities led him from the burgeoning oil fields of Alaska to crisscrossing America as a long-haul over-the-road trucker. In a semi cab permeated with the aroma of King Edward cigars and filled with the voice and guitar of Waylon Jennings; Lee saw the sun rise from the Atlantic, bore witness to the amber waves of grain across middle America, and watched the sun sink into the pacific as he drove along the Pacific Coast Highway. A proud Union member of Engineers Local 139, Lee was adept at operating all manner of heavy machinery and equipment. If it had wheels or tracks, Lee could drive it, safely. A skilled carpenter and enthusiastic outdoorsman, his workshop was as likely to contain a drill press as it was to feature a fully stocked rack of fishing poles all set to be borrowed by a neighborhood kid or one of his beloved family.
Lee is survived by his wife of 61 years, Annette Foster; two sons: Michael Foster and Jason Foster (and his step-family); grandchildren: Steele (Cassie) Schriver and Jacqualyn (Fiancé, Santos) Schriver; and great-grandchild, Jaiden Schriver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Tessebelle (Brunette) Foster; daughter, Michelle Schriver; his sister, Sandra Hollsten; and nephew, Lloyd Hollsten.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301. A Memorial Service will begin at 6:00 PM that same evening at the funeral home.
