Dolly (Darlene Rachals) O'Dell died on Monday, March 2, 2026. The daughter of the late Richard and Lucinda (Watter) Rachals was born on March 8, 1937.
Dolly graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1955. She married Patrick O'Dell, August 27, 1955 and they celebrated 69 years of marriage before Pat passed away, November 27, 2024.
She volunteered most of her life at Grace Lutheran Church, many years at Bellin Hospital (now Emplify) and Aurora Hospital. She was a volunteer with Unity Hospice for over 48 years. She was integral in the start up with the Unity Hospice Bereavement Program. She served on the Board and also started the Christmas angel fundraiser that ran for 30 years.
She enjoyed painting, writing calligraphy and gardening. Dolly loved to create homemade greeting cards that captured all of her artistic gifts. Family was very loved and important to her.
Dolly is survived by 3 children: Todd (Debra) O'Dell, Jill (Chuck) Donlevy and Ginger (Jay) Wistenberg; grandchildren: Tara (Jim) Hinze, Derek (Olivia) O'Dell, Alexa Wistenberg, Mason (fiancée, Aly) Wistenberg, Cole (fiancée, Paige) Wistenberg, Josh (Tracy) Crowe and 8 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Jay Rachals, brother-in-law, Dennis DeMuth, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick O'Dell and her brother, Lowell Rachals.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 1 to 3 PM. A memorial service will follow at 3 PM with Pastor Lon Hider officiating.
