Dianne E. Arndt, age 83 of Clintonville passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Aster Assisted Living, Clintonville after suffering a stroke the day prior.
Dianne Evelyn Lucille Schmidt was born on September 27, 1940 on the home farm near Big Falls to Edward and Marie (Dieck) Schmidt. She attended school in Marion. Dianne was united in marriage on January 27, 1958 to Randal L. Arndt. Over the years, Dianne worked in the office at the Marion Building Center and waitressed at the Marion Cafe. She also worked at various bakery shops in the area.
Dianne was currently a member of the Clintonville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. For many years, Dianne and Randy took their camper south and loved “wintering” in Bushnell, Florida and during the summer they enjoyed camping near Shawano Lake. Dianne loved line dancing and listening to polka and country bands. She also enjoyed feeding the birds, flowers and playing cards. Dianne adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, most recently playing the piano and singing for them! She also had a great love for animals, especially dogs; she will be greatly missed by her dog and loving companion, Molly.
Survivors include her three children, Kathy (Mark) Beyersdorf, Christine (Todd) Much, and Rodney Arndt. There are six grandchildren: Dana (Brad) Kohel, Erin Beyersdorf, Tara (Daniel) Knaack, Matthew (Tiffany) Much, Mitchell (Jennifer) Much, and Allan (Heather) Arndt. There are five great grandchildren: Violet Knaack, Eli Knaack, Zachary Much, Taylor Stuebs, and Brenynn Much. One sibling, Harold (Jeanne) Schmidt. Her beloved dog, Molly. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Randy on April 5, 2023; two sisters, Dolores (Albert) Krueger, Dorothy (Herb) Tischauser; and three brothers, Roy (Jeanette) Schmidt, Clifford (Clara) Schmidt, and Glenn (Myra) Schmidt.
The family would like to thank the staff of Aster Assisted Living for all the care provided to Dianne.
