Diane Gouin, 71, of De Pere, passed away on November 14, 2025.

She was born on September 15, 1954 to Ralph and Hope (Eckstein) Mercier in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1972. Diane pursued her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree and graduated in 1977. She worked for St. Vincent's Hospital following her college graduation and was a LPN in the Labor and Delivery Department.

On September 21, 1973, she married the love of her life, Ronald Gouin. Diane and Ron lived in Idaho and Taiwan during Ron's time in the Air Force, and after those fond memories and once Ron was discharged they made Green Bay their home again. Together they raised two children.

Diane was very devoted in her faith. Diane and Ron have been members of Celebration Church for over thirty years. Diane would wake up early to make Ron coffee every morning and start the day with a prayer together. She was a very generous women and would donate money to World Vision to give chickens, cows and goats to people in poverty. She also would sneak money to family, even though Ron always approved.

She loved her family and spending time with them. With her late mom and sister, she would enjoy doing puzzles with them. She would often go shopping in magazines for gifts for family and friends. She was an active supporter going to her grandkids sports and band activities. Her and her family would travel together to Wisconsin Dells and Great America. With Ron, they to traveled to Mackinaw City.

Hobbies she also enjoyed were doing bookwork, feeding squirrels and painting nails with Connie.

Diane is survived by her loving husband, Ronald; daughter, Nea (Joe) Christensen; son, Joshua (Megan) Gouin; grandchildren: Isaiah, Daniel and Lily Christensen and Jack Gouin; sister, Sue Mercier; brother, Tom (Michelle) Mercier; sibling-in-laws: Mary Greenwood, Connie Gouin, Linda (Ken) Herman, Susie (Gary) Mikol, Patty (Bob) Belter, Tom Gouin, Sally (Rocky) Heiser, Mike (Susan) Gouin, David (Mary) Gouin and Terri Mercier; and further relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hope Mercier; her father, Ralph Mercier; her father and mother-in-law, Albert and Fern Gouin; brother, Dan Mercier; sister, Cathie Mercier; and brother-in-law, Bob Gouin.

A Memorial Service for Diane will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 5 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay, Wisconsin. A Visitation will begin at 3 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Odd Fellows and staff, nurses and Doctors at Aurora Intensive Care Unit.
