Dennis Krysiak

Dennis Norman Krysiak, born September 17, 1942, passed peacefully on September 5, 2026.

Dennis was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Edwin and Dolores Krysiak, who preceded him in death. Through his marriage to Mary, he was later embraced as a son by her parents, Lawrence and Gladys DeCoster, who also preceded him in death.

Above all else, Dennis loved his family. He carried a quiet strength, a gentle heart, and a deep capacity for kindness and compassion. He showed people what mattered to him by being there, by caring, by helping, by laughing, and by loving.

At the center of his life was Mary, his wife and love of 62 years.Their life together was real, with joyful days and difficult ones, but through all of it they kept caring for one another, carrying one another, and choosing to walk through life side by side. They raised a family, shared burdens, laughed often, grew older together, and built a life that belonged deeply to the two of them.

Some of their happiest times were traveling out West together. They loved the long drives, the conversations, the laughter, the mountains and wide-open skies, and simply enjoying the beauty of God’s creation together. They did not need much to make a day meaningful. Often, the best part was simply being together.

That same joy carried into their family. Dennis and Mary’s sons are Greg and his wife, Deanna, and Mike and his wife, Debbie. Their grandchildren are Greg and Deanna’s sons, Tyler and his wife, Taylor, and Matt and his wife, Jerrah; and Mike and Debbie’s children, Kayla and her husband, Brian, and Ryan. Their great-grandchildren are Oliver, Maggie, Owen and Landon, all of whom were Dennis and Mary’s pride and joy.

With his sons and the families that grew around them, Dennis often seemed to become a kid again himself. He was playful, teasing, and happiest when everyone was together. He and Mary wanted little more than to enjoy their family, laugh together, and make memories. Looking back, many of the moments that seemed ordinary at the time have become some of the most precious: meals, visits, trips, jokes, holidays, and simply having the people they loved close by.

Dennis enjoyed playing sports growing up and later enjoyed cheering on the Packers. Professionally, he worked in sales and earned a reputation for being able to “sell the wallpaper off the wall” to just about anyone. It was less about selling than about Dennis being Dennis—comfortable with people, quick with a story or a laugh, and able to make a connection.

Faith and service were also woven through the life Dennis and Mary shared. Over the years, they were deeply involved at Nativity Parish, giving their time to marriage preparation, Stephen Ministry, the finance council, choir, and other areas of parish life. Dennis brought that same willingness to help beyond the church as well, staying active in his community in many different ways.

Dennis is also survived by his brothers, Ken and his wife, Jeanette, and Ed his wife, Arlene who preceded him in death.

Dennis and Mary’s family is deeply grateful for the extended family and friends who shared life with them through the years. From the days of raising their family through all the seasons that followed, your friendship, kindness, prayers, laughter and love became part of their story and part of the memories their family now holds close.

Dennis and Mary shared a life that was deeply personal and their own. In keeping with that spirit, there will be no formal funeral service. Their immediate family will gather privately to celebrate Dennis, share memories, and give thanks for the life they were blessed to have with him. The prayerful support of family and friends is deeply appreciated by all.

Dennis loved Mary completely, he loved his family deeply, and that love remains.
