Debbie Shipla

Debra "Debbie" Shipla, 71, of Green Bay, passed away on May 29, 2026, with her family by her side.

Debbie was born on March 8, 1955, to William and Patricia (Gegare) Burke in Howard, Wisconsin. She graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1973. On March 20, 1982, she married Anthony Shipla.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Anthony "Tony" Shipla; her son, Joshua Shipla; three grandchildren; her siblings: Karen (Jeff) Frisque, Art (Cindy) Burke, Diana (Nell) Burke, Kathy (and Bugs) Burke and Bruce (Brenda) Burke; and her sister-in-law, Carrie.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jay; her parents; and her brother, Bob.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Debbie from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI 54301). With a Sharing of Memories to follow at 7:00 PM. Please plan to share a story of Debbie for the service and the family is requesting to wear either Tie-Dye or bright colors in her honor.
