David Peterson

David Peterson, 65, of Oconto, passed away on May 23, 2026. He was born on December 25, 1960 to Floyd and Violet (Thyrion) Peterson.

On June 29, 1996, David married Cynthia Ann Gudowicz, with whom he shared many wonderful years living in Little Suamico. Together, they built a life filled with love and companionship. Dave worked alongside his father and brother in the windows and siding industry.

He is now reunited with the love of his life, Cindy, whom he missed terribly; and carried her memory with him everyday. Dave loved fishing, the outdoors, and spending time at Stevens Lake, his favorite place to be. Dave will be remember for his big heart, stories, sense of humor and the people who loved him deeply.

Dave is survived by his father, Floyd, two sisters: Joan (Bill) Hrabik, Debbie (Todd) Eckstein, one brother, Lyle (Michelle) Peterson; and close friend and relative, Sandy; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy, mother, Violet; and one sister, Jean.

A Celebration of Dave's Life will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Irish Greens Golf Course, 2946 Logtown Road, Oconto, WI 54153. Family and friends are welcome to gather together, share memories, and honor Dave's life. An additional private celebration of life will also be held at Steven's Lake, a place that he loved dearly.

Dave lived a life marked by deep loved for his family and friends, a strong connection to the outdoors, and personality that was unforgettable to those who knew him. He had a way of making an impression wherever he went.
