David Richard Ebben

David Richard Ebben, age 74, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 12, 2026 with his wife Sherry and daughter Tracy by his side. David was born on February 7, 1952, to the late Paul and Delores Ebben. David was the third of nine children. He married the love of his life Sherry on October 18, 1997.

David is survived by his loving wife, Sherry; his children, Paul (Missy) Ebben, Patrick Clark, Niki Tennessen, Tracy (Scott) Christensen, and Michelle (Greg) Madsen; Dave is further survived by his mother in law, Lois Laverdiere; his brothers and sisters, Cliff (Mary) Ebben, Mary Romitti, Ellen (Mark) Thomson, John (Joan) Ebben, Julie (Tom) Ziegler, Lorrie (Kevin) Schumde; and his sister- in laws Julie Sobiek and Cathy (Mike) Mancheski and brother In law Mark (Marsha) Laverdiere also his nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and other beloved family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Delores Ebben, father-in-law, James Laverdiere, sisters Paula and Betty and brother in laws Barry Romitti and Richard Sobiek.

David had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for bringing smiles to the faces of those he loved. Whether through a quick joke, a lighthearted story, or simply his cheerful presence, David had a way of making life brighter.

David proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a commitment that reflected his strength, dedication, and sense of duty.

He was also known as a good cook, and the meals he prepared were an expression of care for family and friends and through his life, and he owned and managed many restaurants, sharing his love for food with all those he came in contact with.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 22, 2026, at The Shop located at 2740 Packerland Dr., Green Bay, WI 54313 beginning at 3:00pm with full military honors. Please wear your favorite Green Bay Packer apparel as it was Dave's desire to have one last tailgate party.

A very special thank you to Unity Hospice, especially our nurse Sam and our social worker, Sarah, you guided us through this difficult time. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Wening and the nursing staff of Green Bay Oncology.

David’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His kindness, humor, patience, and love for his family will never be forgotten.
