Listen to Obituary

David Coenen, age 70, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026 surrounded by his family.

He was born on September 4, 1955 to Joseph and Margaret (Hecker) Coenen in Green Bay, WI. On August 18, 2007, he married Jonnell J. Coenen.

Dave had a love for the outdoors, he raised beef cattle, he enjoyed tending to his farmette and his garden, caring for the barn cats, and had a passion for hunting. He and his wife enjoyed hosting their yearly luau party at their farmette. Dave had a generous heart, always helping out friends and family wherever possible, but he'd tease you the entire time.

Dave is survived by his loving siblings; Carol Jadin, Betty Mato, and Gary (Karen) Coenen, and his step-children; Jolene and Christina. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jonnell, his parents; Joseph and Margaret, and his sisters; Bev and Donna.

Visitation will be held on January 15, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay, 54301).

Dave's Family would like to extend a special thank you to Professional Guardianships, and Moments Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Dave.
