Daryl L. Campbell

May 19, 1936 — October 12, 2024

Pensaukee

Daryl Lee Campbell, 88, of Pensaukee, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024 surrounded by loving family. He was born on May 19, 1936 to Whitney and Irene Campbell in Green Bay, WI. He graduated from West High School in 1954 before continuing his education at The University of Wisconsin - Madison where he proudly graduated in 1958. After finishing his degree, Daryl met the love of his life, Helen, and they married on June 1st, 1963. It was apparent to everyone in their lives that they were true soul mates. Later on in life, Daryl achieved his Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling at The University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. He worked for The State of Wisconsin Job Service for over 31 years.

Daryl was blessed with 5 grandchildren, and was proud to be apart of their lives. He would attend all sporting events, including football, hockey, baseball, and softball. He spent countless hot days at the diamond, and many freezing days at the rink. After retiring, Daryl and Helen spent their days traveling together. He loved visiting national parks, and his favorite was Yosemite. In the winters, Daryl and Helen would travel to Golf Shores, Alabama where they met many friends. Daryl's simple pleasures included watching old TV Westerns, listening to his oldies, and looking out his window at the bay while watching birds.

Daryl is survived by his loving wife, Helen; his two children, Chris (Peggy) Campbell and Kathy (Ken) O'Dell; 5 grandchildren: Ryan (Natalee) Campbell, Josh (Rachel) Campbell, Aaron (Nicole) Campbell, Tiffany O'Dell, and Casey O'Dell; 4 great grandchildren: Emmett, Charlotte, Henry, and Hayden Campbell; and 1 sister, Carol Thiry. Daryl was further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the nurses, CNAs, and staff at Bellin 1R for all of their care and support. They would also like to thank their special neighbors Leo and Kerri Zalaznik for their wonderful friendship.

Per Daryl's wishes, no formal funeral services will be held.
