Darlene A Paul, 91, of Green Bay passed away peacefully at Oak Park Place on July 22, 2025. She was born on June 17, 1934 to Otto and Mamie (Bloedorn) Marks.
Darlene attended West High School, graduating in 1952. She started a legacy, as her children and grandchildren graduated from there as well. It was at West Side State Bank that she met the love of her life, Alvin J Paul. They were united in marriage at St Patrick’s Church, Green Bay, on September 4, 1954 and had 66 wonderful years together.
Gardening, collecting stamps and buttons, antiques, playing cards, fishing, and spending time out on the water with her family were things that she enjoyed. Her love for music included playing the piano and organ, as well as listening to Dan O’Donnell. Darlene was a member of the Antique Study Club, serving as secretary, vice president, president and historian for many years. She was also a member of the Green Bay & De Pere Antiquarian Society and former member of the Howard-Suamico Historical Society.
She is survived by her three children: Perry(Linda) Paul, Pamela (Cheri) Paul, and Kathy(Mike) Solway; five grandchildren: David(Melissa) Solway, Sarah(fiancé Nathan) Solway, Beth(Jared) Jordan, Amanda(Ryan) Fuchs and Katarina(Dan) Cushing; seven great- grandchildren: Emerson, Graham, and Eisley Solway, Raya Geurts, Logan Fuchs, Brayden and Brantley Cushing. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Carolyn Marks, special friend Carol Paul, and many nieces & nephews.
Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, his parents, William & Margaret Paul, her parents, brothers Eugene & Everett Marks, an infant sister, in-laws Sylvan(Helen) Paul, William Paul Jr, Lucille(Elmer) Sisel, Lillian(Frank) Hucek, Lorraine Lukes and LaVerne(Elmer) Lardinois.
Visitation will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church (333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez) on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 10-11AM. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11AM. Entombment will be in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff at Oak Park Place and Unity Hospice for the compassionate care they have given to our mother.
