Daniel Robert Schrap

Daniel "Dano" Robert Schrap unexpectedly passed away on September 13, 2025. He will forever be remembered as being humble and kind. He was born on October 29, 1963, in Milwaukee, WI, to his parents, Robert and Nancy (nee Toman) Schrap. In his youth, Dan, along with his father and brother, were very involved in Boy Scouts. Dan achieved the level of Life Scout (one level below Eagle Scout). He attended Wauwatosa East High School and Northeast Technical College.

For fourteen years, Dan toured with the Disney on Ice show throughout the US, Hawaii, and Canada. He was the snow cone vendor, along with his partner of 40-plus years, Michialle '"'Mickey" Dick. When not touring, they made their home in Florida, enjoying sunshine and sunsets at the beach. They welcomed family and friends to their home in paradise so they could create happy vacation memories.

After moving to Green Bay, WI, to be closer to family, he built and remodeled homes with Barton Designs until falling ill about four years ago.

Dan was a Master Gardener who helped establish the hosta garden at the Botanical Garden in Green Bay. He won an award for his 100+ year old farmhouse that he and Mick remodeled . He surrounded his homes with beautiful tropical plants in Florida, and gardens containing hundreds of varieties of hostas and flowers in Wisconsin.

Daniel very much enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and NASCAR. His man cave walls were lined floor to ceiling with sports memorabilia, and his beer can collection. He played league pool and darts and especially loved hanging out at Wise Fool's Pub, where he was affectionately compared to being like "Norm" in Cheers. His grandfather taught him to play a cunning game of sheepshead. He loved the outdoors and fished on the Gulf of Mexico, and beloved river at the cabin. He loved hosting parties at his home. Christmases and Thanksgivings will never be the same without him. He loved his cats and dogs, especially his German Shepherds. His last act of kindness was being an organ and tissue donor. Dan never made an enemy. He absolutely loved his family and friends, especially Brian. He loved life.

Dan is survived by his partner Michialle 'Mickey' Dick; parents, Bob and Nancy Schrap of Wauwatosa; daughter, Angela; his sister Debbie (Neil) Schulze of Grafton, and his brother, Dennis Schrap of Suamico. His nieces and nephews, Zachary, Lisa, Douglas, Jonathan, Corrine, Abby , and Sydney thought he was the BEST uncle ever! Further survived by Mickey’s sister, Angie; cousins, cats & dogs, and extended family and numerous amazing friends. Dan was cremated and will rest eternally at his family plot at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, WI, at the cabin by the Menominee River in McAllister, WI, and at other places he loved in life. A celebration of his life will be held on a future date.
