Dale L. Kozicki

September 29, 1934 — November 29, 2023

Dale L. Kozicki, 89, born September 28, 1934 to Louis and Mayme (Klosterman) Kozicki. He graduated from Salvatorian Seminary in Manitowoc. He was enlisted in the US Marine Corps Batallion 155 and was a vending mechanic by trade. Dale married Beverly "DoDo" Newtols on January 31, 1959, during a cold spell that saw the actual temperature dip to 31 degrees below zero.
Dale is survived by son Christopher (Jane) Kozicki, daughter Michelle (David) Lane, grandchildren: Dr. Andrew (Chelsea) Kozicki, Katelyn Kozicki (Brad), Alison Cayemberg (Josh), and Deanna (Troy) Krause; and great-grandchildren: Jackson, Wyatt, and Jemma; brother Gary (Christine) Kozicke, god child Sarah Knutson; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, DoDo, parents, father & mother-in-law Edward and Marcella Newtols, granddaughter Brittany Cayemberg, sister Agnes (Leo) Schuh, brother Donald (Judy) Kozicke, sister Evelyn Hansen, brother-in-law Cletus (Rose) Newtols, nephews: Dennis Kozicke and Darrell Kozicke, niece and god child AnnMarie Vogels.
Dale always had a "colorful" joke at the ready no matter if you were a lifelong friend or someone he just met. He enjoyed catching fish more than most and sharing with family whenever it was a good day on the bay!

He was proud to be a union steward and enjoyed negotiating contracts on behalf of his fellow union members.

Dale had a soft spot for charities and was supportive of events related to cancer survivors, members of the armed forces and terminally ill children. He made numerous woodworking projects that were donated to Make-a-Wish and Children's Hospital.

Special thanks to neighbors Mike & Carol Brown, Carol Abts, Marlene & Gary, Jimmy Hunt, and the Grays retirees.
Also, special thanks to Aurora Hospital and Hospice for their care, comfort, and support that was given to Dale and the family.
