Listen to Obituary

Coleman LaBlanc, a devoted son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the age of 22. A lifelong resident of Green Bay, Coleman was born on July 4, 2003, to Steven and Michelle (Quatsoe) LaBlanc. He proudly graduated from Preble High School in 2022, marking the beginning of a journey characterized by service, dedication, and an enduring spirit of adventure.

Between his junior and senior years of high school, Coleman’s commitment to serving others led him to enlist in the Army Reserves under the Deferred Entry Program. He completed his basic training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, followed by specialized training as a Behavioral Health Specialist at Fort Sam Houston. Returning home to Wisconsin, he joined the 467th Medical Detachment based in Madison. Coleman’s extraordinary courage was evident during his deployment to Kuwait and Iraq in April 2023 with the 785th Medical Detachment Unit Combat and Operational Stress Control. For his valor and steadfast dedication overseas, he was honored with several awards, including the Combat Action Badge and the Army Commendation Medal. After his honorable discharge from active duty in February 2024, Coleman continued to train with his unit while pursuing higher education.

A passionate student, Coleman earned his Associate’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, aiming to further his studies in Environmental Science. Beyond academics and military service, he eagerly anticipated the Halloween season each year, where he delighted in bringing characters to life at Terror on the Fox.

Coleman’s profound compassion and devotion to helping others extended to his work in local psychiatric programs, inspired by his experiences and training in behavioral health. A testament to his character was his lifelong dedication to the Scouts, culminating in achieving the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout in 2017 with Troop 1041. His many adventures, including a memorable 50-mile canoeing expedition in the Boundary Waters and participation in both National and World Jamborees, reflected his deep love for the outdoors and boundless enthusiasm for life.

Known for his infectious laughter, quick wit, and magical touch, Coleman had a remarkable ability to uplift everyone around him. His creativity, humor, and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on his family and friends. He was often celebrated for being unapologetically himself—a spirit full of authenticity and warmth.

Coleman is lovingly remembered by his parents, Steven and Michelle; his brothers, Harrison and Forrester; his cherished canine companion, Cornwall; grandparents: Jerry LaBlanc, Donna LaBlanc, Terry Quatsoe and June Quatsoe; along with his aunt, Sheri (Steve) Rickard and uncle, Darren (Debbie) Quatsoe. He is also survived by numerous cousins, beloved family pets, Brewer and Sparky, and a wide circle of friends whose lives he touched deeply.

A visitation to honor Coleman will be held at Newcomer Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service with full military honors at 6:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to a veteran suicide awareness charity in Coleman’s name, continuing his legacy of compassion and service.
