Christie Allen "Big Chris" Jarrett, a man whose presence was only surpassed by the size of his heart, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in Marinette, Wisconsin. He was 68.
Born in Victorville, California, on September 6, 1957, Christie was a loyal and unforgettable force from the start. Known universally as "Big Chris," he built a legacy on genuine kindness, unwavering loyalty, and a knack for making people laugh. His generosity was legendary; he was the man who would truly give the shirt off his back to help out someone, even if he had just met them.
For more than 25 years, Chris dedicated himself to the trade of drywall, a skill he masterfully passed down to his sons, instilling in them the value of hard work and craftsmanship.
Above all, Chris cherished his family, his pets, and his vast circle of friends. His passions were as loud and vibrant as his personality (aka, his mouth)—he loved the roar of hot rods, the driving rhythm of rock and roll, and the simple joy of making people laugh. He possessed a spirit and character that ensured he always made an unforgettable impression on everyone he met.
Chris is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Sheila Jarrett; his mother, Jenny Lee Jarrett; and his brothers, Bill and Neil Jarrett.
He leaves behind his sons, Christopher and Anthony Shigouri. He was the proud grandfather to Krystle, Corey, Christian (Destiny), and Brandon (Savannah) Shigouri, and Dillon, Chelsey, and Tyler Ailstock. He was also a a loving great-grandfather to:
* Malaiya and Nahvia Moore
* David Ailstock, Evalina Delmarcelle and Benjamin Semrau,
* Aubree, and Kinsley Ailstock, Luca, and Scarlet Shigouri
His faithful dog, Macy, will miss his companionship dearly.
Chris was preceded in death by his beloved son, Tim Shigouri; his beautiful daughter, Stephanie Shigouri; and his father, Morley Jarrett. And a great granddaughter Love Moore.
Big Chris will be sorely missed by all who knew him, leaving behind a world a little quieter and a lot less humorous without him in it.
