Charles A. Urick

June 29, 1939 — October 13, 2023

Charles A. Urick died peacefully, October 13. He was born in Chicago, IL, June 29, 1939. He began his career as an Investment Banker with the Continental Illinois Bank in Chicago and then worked for First Chicago until he retired moving from Barrington, IL to the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin.

He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. His pride and joy were his sons, his daughters-in-law, his treasured grandchildren and the love of his life, Sue, who affectionately referred to him as her "Hero".

Chuck married Susan, April 16, 1966 and they were married 57 years. He was blessed with two wonderful sons, Heath (Lisa) and Wesley (Donna) and four grandchildren: Charlie and Will Urick, and Parker and Taylor Urick.

Lone Pine Lake was where he found the most peace and joy, hunting, fishing, canoeing, boating, and spending time with his loving family and his hunting partner, Llewelyn Setter, Jessie! Chuck enjoyed dinners with friends and a good single malt scotch. Watching his grandchildren grow up on Lone Pine Lake, reading a good book and enjoying the breathtaking sunsets on the lake with Sue, made his days complete!

He served his country in the United States Naval Air Reserves, was active in the Ruffed Grouse Society and volunteered at the Boulder Junction Library.

His family will miss him dearly, but we are comforted that he is at peace and in the loving arms of God. The Urick family is most grateful to all of his wonderful physicians, nurses and physical therapists who were so caring and supportive of him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the following organizations in Chuck's name are appreciated:

The Boulder Junction Library
