Carol Marie Shegonee

Carol Marie Shegonee, 71, of Green Bay, passed away on September 30, 2026.

She was born on January 21, 1955, to Vincent and Alvira Wojkiewicz in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She graduated from Green Bay West High School. She worked as a custodian at Oneida Casino for over twenty years before her retirement.

In 1979, Carol married Matthew Shegonee. The two shared three children together. They shared ten wonderful years together before his passing on August 26, 1989.

Carol enjoyed relaxing with her family, watching movies and playing on her phone. She loved cats, especially her two cats: Maya and Smokey. She cherished her smoke breaks with her son-in-law.

Carol is survived by her loving daughter, Kelly (Larry) Larscheid; her sons, Nicholas Sr. (Griselda) Shegonee and Brian Shegonee; grandchildren: Nicholas Jr., Joaquin, Alex and Ezra, and Matthew and Nayeli; her siblings, Cheryl Wojkiewicz and Tina (Bud) Bebeau; brother-in-law, Art (Dawn) Shegonee; and nephews, Michael (Renee) Henquinet and Rhese Bebeau.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew; her sister, Norma Henquinet; her nephew, Justin Bebeau; and her parents.

A Celebration of Life for Carol will be held from 2- 4 PM on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, Wisconsin, 54301. A memorial service will begin at 4 PM with a time to share memories during the service.
