Billie Jo Sonnenberg

Billie Jo Sonnenberg, age 50, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026 surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 25, 1975 to William and Margaret (Couillard) Sonnenberg in Green Bay, WI. Billie Jo was the second of four children, and grew up spending time with her family, and in the outdoors, and she always loved when they would go swimming up in Pembine. She graduated from Green Bay East High School with the class of 1994, where she made many lifelong friends, who she cherished dearly. Not only did her classmates love her, the entire Green Bay community loved Billie Jo. Her bubbly personality left a lasting impression on each and every person she worked with or met over her career in the restaurant business.

Billie Jo was blessed with two wonderful children who she loved greatly, and grandchildren that she spoiled at every opportunity. She always put her family first, and they were her greatest inspiration and strength. Billie Jo was a vibrant, cheerful, resilient women, who always had the biggest laugh. Her sense of humor, and laughter could make anyone smile. Even when her life got hard, she always kept her faith, knowing that God had a plan for her. Billie Jo had a love for riding motorcycles, for cooking great food, hosting events at her home, and spending as much time as she could with her grandkids and family. She was a truly unique women, with an absolute heart of gold, and everyone that knew her will miss her greatly.

Billie Jo is survived by her loving son, Jonathan (Miaela) Hill, her granddaughters; Eiyslee, Evvie, with one more on the way, her brother, Bob (Michelle) Sonnenberg, and her father, William Sonnenberg. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheyenne, her brother, Ben, her sister, Becky, and her mother, Peggy.

Her visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 PM at Newcomer (340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay, 54301). With her Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 pm.

Billie Jo's family would like to extend a special thank you to her hospice nurse, Kiana Lindner, for her kind and compassionate care. And to Dede and Rick Koebel for welcoming her into their home.
