Bernice “Bunny” Lubinski (Peterson)

Bernice “Bunny” Lubinski (Peterson) passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the age of 101. Born on August 22, 1923, in Two Harbors, Minnesota, the daughter of Ellis and Blenda (Peterson) Anderson. She lived a full life filled with love and compassion.

Bunny married Elwood Peterson in Duluth, MN in 1948, who preceded her in death in 1982. She married Jerome Lubinski in 1990, who preceded her in death in 2017. Bunny and Jerry would winter in Sun City, Arizona and spent summers at Kelly Lake, Wisconsin.

Bunny was employed at Doctor Robert Rose and Jensen Clinic. Bunny found joy in her hobbies and interests. She was an avid bridge and golf player. Summers spent at Kelly Lake brought her immense happiness.

She is survived by her two daughters, Janet of St. Paul, Minnesota and Elizabeth of Lyme, Connecticut; step-son, Greg (Susan) Lubinski of Green Bay; step-grandkids, Rose (Kolten) Van Elzen and Grace (Special Friend, Adam Butler) Lubinski; Rose's children, Elowyn and Calihan Van Elzen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents; as well as her husbands, Elwood Peterson and Jermone Lubinski. Bunny also mourned the loss of her step-daughter, Julia Lubinski, and her beloved sisters, Marilyn (Dale) Cunningham and Phyllis Bjonim.

A funeral service will be held on June 24, 2025, at 12:30 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 340 S Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI. Friends and family are invited to remain after the service for a private reception of Bunny from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 also at the funeral home.

Bunny Lubinski (Peterson) will be forever missed, and her legacy of kindness and joy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
