Bern Jacobson, 75, of Green Bay, passed away on November 23, 2025 at Bellin Hospital.

He was born on May 19, 1950 to Kent A. and Julie A. (Grant) Jacobson in Rushford, Minnesota. He graduated from GET High School in 1968. He graduated from UW - Eau Claire. Bern worked a variety of different careers, a couple being a Congressional Aide in the state senate, he was a long-haired hippie rock jock, and a Green Bay Alderman for two terms.

In September of 1975, Becky was driving to work and heard "Bern Jacobson" on the radio and thought to herself, "What a weird name." The rest was history and on September 30, 1978, he married Becky. They raised their daughter, Abby, in Green Bay.

Bern enjoyed hunting with his father and brother. He was an avid gardener and he was always willing to be a Sous Chef to his granddaughter. He indulged his wife in many home restorations for their Victorian home.

He was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church for 50 years. He was also a member of the Lion's Club and in the early '90s, he was the Midwest President of People to People International.

Bern is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca; daughter, Abby (Matt Lancelle) Jacobson; grandchild, Sophie Lancelle and two more grandchildren on the way; brother, Kent Jacobson; sisters-in-law, Gloria Jacobson and Shadia (Joe) Jerovetz; A brother-in-law, John Hermanson; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ross Jacobson; and sisters-in-law, Barb Jacobson and Ann (Cook) Hermanson.

A Memorial Service for Bern will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 1 PM at Grace Lutheran Church, 321 S Madison St, Green Bay, WI 54301. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at 12 PM at the church.
