Barbara M. Schulze

March 20, 1961 — June 1, 2025

Howard

Barbara Mary Schulze, 64, of Howard, passed away on June 1, 2025, surrounded by family after bravely facing cancer.

Born on March 20, 1961, in Green Bay, WI, to Delbert and Rita (O’Donnell) Heuvelmans, Barb graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1979. After high school she discovered a passion for sports, especially softball and volleyball, and played on many local teams. She also loved being outdoors. An accident limited her ability to participate in the active pursuits she once loved, but she remained deeply connected to the things that brought her joy, cherishing time with family.

Barb had a nurturing spirit that extended beyond people to animals, caring for many throughout her life. She was an incredibly giving person, always putting others’ happiness before her own. Even in times of personal hardship, she never lost her desire to lift those around her. When Savannah came into her life in 2005, Barb embraced the role of a devoted mother figure, cherishing and loving her dearly.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Savannah Rohde; her siblings, Harold Heuvelmans, Jane (Alan) Nero, and Judy Tilly; her sister-in-law, Alison Heuvelmans, nieces and nephews; Jodi Nero (Sam Johnson), Krista Corrigan, Amanda (Andy)VanDeYacht, Erik Heuvelmans, Sarah Heuvelmans and a host of family and friends who will miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Rita Heuvelmans; her brothers, Daniel and John Heuvelmans; and her brother-in-law, Dennis Tilly.

Per Barb’s wishes, the family is hosting a private service.

Barb's family would like to extend a special thank you to Missy Kontey, and Julie Atkins for their dedicated care and support of Barb.
