Listen to Obituary

Barbara Luczak, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on July 3, 1938, to Anthony and Estelle (Wojnicki) Luczak in Chicago, IL, Barbara's life was marked by dedication, service, and love for her community.

With an impressive career spanning 33 years at Imperial Supplies, Barbara began her journey in the distribution center and ultimately found her calling in accounts payable. Her remarkable attention to detail and her unwavering commitment to her work earned her the respect of her colleagues and fostered lifelong friendships.

Barbara's spirit of service extended far beyond her professional life. As a devoted member of St. Willebrord Catholic Parish, she played an integral role in the ministry of hospitality. Her contributions included active participation in the Worship Committee, the Touch Group that cared for the sick and elderly, the Sanctuary Society, and the Social Concerns Committee. She served countless meals for grieving families, engaged in providing shelter meals, and enthusiastically helped at numerous bake sales and raffles — always with a warm smile and a generous heart.

She is survived by her loving sister, Marcia Everts; brother-in-law, Duane Massey; sister-in-law, Marsha Luczak; and six cherished niece and nephews: Mary (Matt) Peterson, Mike (Lisa) Massey, David (Nina Naebe) Massey, Steve (Kerry) Massey, Anthony (Lisa) Everts, and Michelle Everts. Barbara also leaves behind many great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her sister, Kathleen Massey, her brother, Anthony Luczak, and her brother-in-law, Lyle Everts.
