Ann Sylvia Olsen, age 90, of De Pere, WI, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Violet Meadows Assisted Living, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Green Bay, WI, August 13, 1935, daughter of the late Vernon and Loretta (Brozek) Moreaux and was a proud graduate of Green Bay East High School, Class of 1952.
Ann married Thomas Olsen, June 25, 1955 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Green Bay. They shared 63 years of marriage before Tom passed away in 2019. In addition to being a busy mom of twins, Ann prided herself in working outside of the home. She worked for many dedicated years as a salesperson at Naus Department Store, H.C. Pranges, and P.J. Collectibles. As an avid reader, one of her most enjoyable jobs was working for the downtown location of the Brown County Library.
Ann had a heart of gold and a quick wit. She always placed the needs of others before her own. She was a talented knitter and loved to create afghans, hats and mittens for her beloved family members, gifts which will be forever treasured. When given the chance, especially at weddings, Ann and Tom showed off their dancing skills and it was hard to get them off the dance floor. She delighted in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother and "Grannie Annie" never missed an opportunity to attend her grandchildren's sporting events and other activities, dressing accordingly to their school colors.
Ann is survived by her son, Michael (Peggy) Olsen; daughter-in-law, Kay Olsen; 7 grandchildren: Nicholas (Lauren) Olsen, Kari Olsen, Andrew Olsen, Steven (Amy) Olsen, and Laura (Jonathon) Champeau; 7 great-grandchildren: Quinn and Evelyn Olsen, Bria, William and James Olsen, Henry and Ella Champeau and a brother, Fred (Karen) Moreaux. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Denise Olsen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas; a son, Patrick Olsen; 2 sisters, Corinne (James) Millard and Janet (Jim) Coniff; sister-in-law, Karen (Donald) Besson; and brother-in-law, John Olsen.
Visitation will be held at Grace Lutheran Church (321 S. Madison St., Green Bay, WI), Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 2 to 4 PM. A funeral service will follow at 4 PM. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
Ann's family would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to Violet Meadows and Moments Hospice for their incredible care and compassion.
