Anita Louise Larson

Anita Louise Larson, age 89, of De Pere, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026. She endured an illness hardship where she displayed characteristic Sisu (Finish term for tenacity).

She was born on July 27, 1937 to the late John and Marie in Phelps, Wisconsin. Growing up Anita was the oldest of her siblings, and could frequently be found helping her two younger brothers. She often reminisced on the happy times she spent with her cousins at Lac Vieux Desert. They would ice skate together on the lake, spend time with her grandmother, enjoy an excellent fish fry, and work on the Family Resort in the North Woods. At the advice of her Grandmother, Agda, she left Phelps to study at the Green Bay Business College. She was an excellent typist, and mastered the art of shorthand. Over her career, she spent time at the Larsen Canning Company, where she meet many of her lifelong friends, before ultimately retiring from UWGB.

In September of 1963, she married Donald Larson, and together they had one daughter, Jill (Mark). Although they learned they were better as friends, they continued to spend time and holidays together as a family, welcoming their granddaughter, Paris. With her departure, she leaves behind her sister-in-law, Sharon, and many close friends, cousins, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her two brothers; Jack and Dan (Laura).

Her family intends to have a service in her honor at a later date, please check back for more information.
