Listen to Obituary

Angela Ann Peterson, 53, of Forestville, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2026 at home, surrounded by her closest friend, April Edwards and her husband, after a very long battle against cancer. Angela was born on August 24, 1972 to Jerry and Peggy Peterson, of Allouez, WI.

Angela received her Bachelors of Art degree in 1995 from the University of Minnesota, where she studied Art and Chinese Studies. In August 1995, Angela married Bruce A. Coleman and the couple lived and worked in Milwaukee, WI for many years, before moving to Door County in Spring 2015. In Spring of 1996, Angela began to make welded metal sculptures. She was successful in her art making and was accepted to many juried Fine Art Exhibitions around the Midwest, where she was Best of Show on occasions.

In 2012, Angela graduated from Midwestern University in Chicago, IL with her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree. Angela worked as a pharmacist for 16 years and was forced to leave the profession in 2024 because of the cancer.

Angela had many interests and several passions, including her dogs, always Springer Spaniels, and leaves behind Jim, Roger and Mabel. Additional passions include fishing for perch with Pa on Green Bay, sewing machines, both collecting and repairing, bird watching, helping others and her family and friends.

Angela loved to have fun and pull an occasional prank on her husband. Angela could make anyone smile and yet was a quiet and private person, never wanting to offend someone.

Angela is survived by her husband, Bruce Coleman, her pups, her mother, Peggy Peterson and her younger siblings: Luke, Ben and Maggie, along with many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

Angela Ann Peterson was an angel and has now returned home, where she can rest in peace and without the pain of cancer.
