Amanda Mae Jones, age 47, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on April 30, 2026.
She was born on August 21, 1978 to Mark Van Straten and Wanda Shorter in Green Bay, WI.

She is further survived by her siblings; Jason, Virigina, Elizabeth, Steven, Sara, and Mark Jr, her dad, Mark Sr as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Amanda was a kind, generous, and outgoing Woman. She loved many things but most specifically her family.
On June 5, 1999 she married the love of her life Ronald ( Ron ) Jones. This was just the start of their wonderful life together. The two of them were blessed with 3 wonderful children, and on September 22, 2024 they reaffirmed their lasting love for each other with a vow renewal ceremony witnessed by many friends and family.
Over the years of Amanda’s life she loved many things. Such as movies, both going to the movie theatre and watching movies with her family and friends. She hosted cookouts, and family gatherings. Pamperin Park was a go-to special place for her. She enjoyed shopping, thrifting, browsing around, she was never afraid to speak her mind and stand up for what was right. She really loved her music, especially her boys NKOTB, Usher, Boys 2 Men and so many others; she attended plenty of concerts with both her friends and family loving every one.
Amanda also loved and devoted nearly two decades to her passion in the medical field caring for many others in nursing facilities and family practices. Where both her patients and colleagues all remember her as calm, compassionate, and funny. She continued to pursue advances in her career, completing her Certified Medical Assistant Degree at Rasmussen College in 2018.
Above all the things Amanda loved and enjoyed in life, she cherished her Family most; adoring them deeply and dearly. There was never any doubt that she always put them first; ensuring her children always had what they needed, everything she did was done selflessly with them in mind.
Amanda lived and loved with such strong will, fierce determination, a sound mind, unshakable confidence and Beauty. She had a generous spirit and will be forever deeply missed by all who knew her.
Per Amanda's wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life for all friends and family at a later date.
