Allen T. Vaile

April 2, 1938 — December 29, 2022

Allen "Al" T. Vaile Sr., passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 after an 11-year battle with Parkinson's disease and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. He was born on April 2, 1938 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Harry & Florence (Vandenbusch) Vaile. He graduated from West High School in Green Bay in 1956. He joined the U. S. Army after graduation and served 3 years active and 3 years inactive. He married his first wife in 1958 and together they had 3 sons, Allen "Ted" T. Vaile Jr., Dennis G. Vaile & Jeffrey J. Vaile Sr. He divorced in 1974 and remarried Joann Siewertsen Hibbert Vaile on June 19, 1976. Joann has two children Steven R. Hibbert and Tracy Lynne Hibbert.

Allen worked at Fairmont Foods for 24 years until they closed the facility in Green Bay and then worked at James River Paper Mill (now Georgia Pacific) and retired from there when he was 62. Al was a Union Steward at both jobs and always tried to help his co-workers. He was a deer hunter and fisherman his whole life. He also had a game farm in Suamico, WI where he raised about 15 species of pheasants, quail, partridge, geese, turkeys, Guinea hens, chickens, raccoons, rabbits, skunks, and raised a fawn from birth to about 10 months old. He and his wife Joann loved animals and always had pet dogs and cats their whole 46 years of married life. They also loved to travel together before he was diagnosed with Parkinson's.

Al was proceeded in death by his parents, 2 sisters; Patsy Vaile and Shirley Doemel and his brother James "Jim" Vaile. Al is survived by three brothers, Larry (Sue) Vaile, Harry "Junior" Vaile and Patrick Vaile, brother-in-law George Doemel, Sisters-in-law Joyce Siewertsen, Darlene Hibbert & Carol Woltmann.

Al is survived by his wife Joann Vaile, children; Allen "Ted" (Diane) Vaile, Dennis G. Vaile, Jeffrey J. (Kim) Vaile Sr., Steven R. (Jennifer) Hibbert & Tracy Hibbert (Sean) Lumpkin. Grandchildren; Jeffrey J. Vaile Jr., Alyssa L (Ryan) VanDrisse, Brianna Vaile, Joshua Vaile, Victoria Vaile, Trevor Vaile, Adam Frank, Ashton Frank, Sophie Vaile, Zoey Vaile, Collin Catalano, Gretchen Avery Hibbert, Nathan Hibbert, Sanjay Lumpkin, Sierre Lumpkin, Xavier Lumpkin, Shannon (Cory) Wienandt, Jay (Perry) Kelly. Great Grandchildren; Matthew Uncles, Dameion VanDrisse, Isaiah Vaile, Isabella VanDrisse, Emily Rynish, Aiden Spaulding, Braxton Vaile, Colt Unsinn, Violet Deibler, Sawyer Frank, Riley Frank, Autumn Kelly. Many nieces and nephews and all extended family members and friends.

Thank you to our dear friend Leslie Dolata for always being there for us as well as Home Instead caregivers, Unity Hospice and Caraton Commons staff for all the help, care and love they gave to Allen.

Friends and Family will gather at Annunciation Parish at 405 Gray St., Green Bay, WI 54303 on January 3, 2023 from 9:30 – 11:00 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am with Fr. Tony De los Santos, and Sr. Pat Clement. Burial will take place at a later date.
