Alice M. Huebscher

Alice M. Huebscher, 85, Green Bay, passed away on July 7, 2026. She was born September 4, 1940 in Green Bay to Louis and Lorretta (Denis) Leurquin. Alice was a graduate of Green Bay West High School.

On August 31, 1959 she married James A. Huebscher until his passing September 1993. She later met her long time companion James Krausert and spent over 20 years enjoying his companionship. She was a devoted mother gratefully raising her five children. Alice was a homemaker most of her life, later on working in the mailroom for Humana Insurance.

She enjoyed time spent with family, camping, puzzles, creating and enjoying poetry, sudoku, birds, and improving her yard. She found pleasure in the holidays and having the family gatherings with food and games. Alice was a long time member of Nativity of Lord Catholic Parish and volunteered there for many years as one of the “Coupon Ladies”.

She is survived by her children: Catherine (Bob) Sanders, Andrew Huebscher, Lois (Mark) Velicer, and Kristine Moe. She is further survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sister, Carol (Gary) Maddix; brother, Louis (Cathy) Leurquin; sister-in-laws: Nancy Leurquin and Dorothy Leurquin; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Huebscher; son, Alan Huebscher; sister, Jean (Gary); brothers: Richard, Roger (Jean), Ronald, and Robert; and long time companion, James Krausert.

The family extends a special thank you to the caregivers of Tender Hearts/Howard and the entire team of St. Croix Hospice.

A gathering of family to celebrate Alice will be held at a future date. A memorial fund has been established at Green Bay Botanical Gardens and The Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross.
