Alana J. Van Laanen

Alana J. Van Laanen, age 79, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by family. She was born January 16, 1947 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Melvin and Margaret (Poulter) Kaster and was a proud graduate of Green Bay West High School.

Alana worked for many years at Procter & Gamble, retiring after many dedicated years. She also served as member of the Fire Brigade at Procter & Gamble.

Alana enjoyed the outdoors and nature. She loved to watch birds and butterflies, especially in the fall. She was especially fond of her beloved Bichon, Riley. Every week, Alana and her best friend, Jan Deneys, went on their "Thelma & Louise" trips, to anywhere and everywhere. At times, their third wheel, Mary Lou Baron, would tag along for the adventure.

Alana is survived by her children, Stacey (Clint) Spencer-Zuleger and Clint (Trina) Van Laanen; 6 grandchildren: Brianna Devoe, Turner Van Laanen, Owen (Alexis) Zuleger, Garrett (Tiana) Zuleger, Chase Long and Dawson (Kyara) Spencer; 3 great-grandchildren: Cayden, Henry and McKenna Zuleger and siblings: Michael Hamilton, Anthony "Tony" Hamilton and Vicki Jose. She is further survived by numerous nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Alana's life will be held at Newcomer Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 3 to 5:30 PM. A sharing of memories will follow at 5:30 PM. To leave a message of condolence for the family, please visit www.NewcomerGreenBay.com.
