In Memory Of
Melissa A. "Missy" Lemerond
1990 - 2022

Melissa A. "Missy" Lemerond, age 31, of Green Bay, was tragically taken from her boys, family and friends in an act of domestic violence, Monday, April 25, 2022. She was born September 29, 1990 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Scott Lemerond and Cindy Gulmire.

Missy was a graduate of Green Bay East High School where she was on the high honor roll. She continued her education at UW-Stout, also maintaining high honors status, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. After graduation from college, Missy moved to several locations across the United States, utilizing her education at various colleges as a resident counselor. Currently, Missy was employed at LLC Ruesch Properties as director of operations. Although Missy was a hard worker and enjoyed her work outside the home, her passion was being a mom and caretaker to her 2 beloved sons, Emmett and Avante.

Missy will be remembered as a selfless, kind-hearted person who always put others before herself. Shy by nature, Missy could be brought out of her bashfulness and flash you a smile that would light up the world. She was a champion for equal rights for all people. Her brother and sister knew that no matter what, they could always depend on Missy to lend an ear or hand. Missy was taken too soon from the people who loved her, but her family hopes that Missy is now resting peacefully. May her tragic death not be in vain, but bring awareness to domestic violence and perhaps help others that share similar stories.

Missy is survived by her 2 boys, Emmett and Avante; her mom, Cindy (Stephen Frank) Gulmire; her brother, Steven Lemerond; her sister, Shelly Lemerond; special niece, Rori Lemerond; maternal grandmother, Mary Gulmire; paternal grandmother, Yvonne Lemerond; second mom, Carol Jicha; special aunt, Jessie Jicha; Godmother, Debra McMichael; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Scott Lemerond, maternal grandfather, David Gulmire, paternal grandfather, Melvin Lemerond, maternal great-grandparents, Russell and Joyce Gulmire and Melvin and Bernice Moll and uncle, Dale Lemerond.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Friday, May 6, 2022 from 4 to 6:30 PM. A time for sharing will follow at 6:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to Missy's GoFundMe (Missy's Memorial) page to help support Emmett and Avante are appreciated.

Special thanks to Missy's amazing bosses, Dalton and Rachel, as well as the entire staff at LLC Ruesch Properties for their incredible compassion and support.
