Pete was born on September 18, 1948 in Green Bay son of the late William "Bud" and Alice (Riewe) Lemorande. He was a 1966 graduate of Premontre High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he began his career in law enforcement as a Military Police Officer. Pete became a Police Officer for the Green Bay Police Department in 1971 later serving as a Detective. He retired from the department in 2000 and went to work for Aurora Baycare as a Security Officer. In his spare time Pete was an avid fisherman, enjoyed researching his next purchase on craigslist and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Janice and two children: Adam (Katie) Lemorande and Darren (Sarah) Lemorande. Pete leaves his siblings: Bill (Jean) Lemorande, Tom Lemorande, Paula (Don) Crabbe, Mary (Ken) Rosenow, Jeanie Lemorande, and Janny (Lynn Mehrholz) Thomas, along with a sister-in-law, Barb Lemorande. Pete also leaves 5 beloved grandchildren: Melia, Alayna, Lillian, Vivian, and Madelyn, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by a brother, James Lemorande.
A gathering celebrating Pete's life will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 4 PM - 7 PM at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel.
Pete's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Unity Hospice for the excellent care given to him throughout his final journey.
