Karen Lynn Bauer (Merritt), age 36, of Neenah, went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 10, 2018, after a lengthy illness.

She was born on August 2, 1982, in Green Bay, to Paul & Diane Merritt.

Karen attended both Green Bay Christian School and Green Bay East High School.

She worked at Barnes & Noble Bookstore for many years.

Karen was an animal lover, she rescued multiple cats and other animals. She volunteered at Bay Area Humane Society and loved working with the animals. She photographed the animals awaiting adoption. Karen enjoyed going to the farmer's market, trying different foods, spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include the love of her life, Tyi Huff; her parents, Paul (Cheryl) Merritt and Diane Merritt; brother, Tim Merritt; grandmother, Jean Belkonen; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert & Eunice Merritt and Paul Belkonen.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 6:30 pm on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Ave. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday with Pastor Mike Huff officiating.
