Rob was born on March 5, 1956 in Green Bay, son of Robert Sr. and Marie (Hennemann) Gomand. Rob graduated from Preble High School, Class of 1975. Rob had a long career at Shopko for over 35 years, and in his spare time Rob enjoyed flowers, gardening, spending time outdoors and cooking. He enjoyed celebrating the holidays with family and friends. Rob was a devoted and loving caregiver to his parents for many years. Rob will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, and was extremely loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents Bob and Marie, two sisters: Carol (Bernie) Blohm, and Marilyn (Jeff) Walker, a brother, Brad Gomand. Rob is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephew: Kari (Anthony Marinetti) Blohm, Nicole (Ryan) Moran, Staci (Ben) Anderson, Chad Lambert, and Haley Walker. Rob also leaves great nieces and great nephew, Violet, Vera, Julian (and one more on the way) and Natalie and Emma who were like grandchildren to him. Rob is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Friday, April 13, 2018 from 10 to 11 AM. A sharing of memories will at follow at 11 AM in the funeral home. The family would be honored if you would share a memory of Rob at this time. Interment will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
